Deep Freeze January 2010

Walking through the pristine snow at a temperature of -10 degrees Celsius the air was still, the sky alpine blue and the river next to me quietly roared while hitting the snow covered stepping stones on its path.

The snow had not melted for over 3 weeks, schools were cancelled (to children’s delight the Christmas school holidays had been extended!), driving was almost impossible unless you had a 4 x 4 and going out meant wrapping up in loadsa layers. But walking, sledging and playing in the snow was sure fun…

All these memories of a deep freeze countryside captured on my mobile phone video and I’ve put a DonkeyBox soundtrack to it..Enjoy the memories 🙂
