Facebook Timeline – My View

I was pleasantly surprised when Facebook announced their new timeline format back in late 2011. I’ve dabbled in some NLP stuff and timeline is one of those important buzzwords in it. I am glad to see that this concept has now gone mainstream.

A lot of people have now been on Facebook for a few years, at least more than 3. Most of the time we are naturally as humans interested in the newest content and media that everyone is posting. Hence the “news”, which is well, new.

From the way I see it Timelines actually helps dig out a lot of content out of everyone’s profiles. It also gives a sense of how you have changed yourself over the years and also how your friends too. And a photo tells a story better than a thousand words. Facebook is now pretty good at helping people see each other from a whole life perspective including older photographs.

So I for one do really like the new Timelines format.
